Day three of our Paris trip was very exciting! First of we went to The Louvre, one of the world's biggest museums and home to the Mona Lisa. They had a Huge section full of Egyptian things which I LOVE! I've always had a big interest in the Egyptian culture so I was very excited! Next up was a greek and Roman section which Thomas finds very interesting. Lastly, there were A LOT of paintings from different countries. One everybody knows is, of course, the Mona Lisa. At first, we couldn't find it, but just follow the crowd and you'll get there. Also, the Louvre building itself was just magnificent on its own!! All those details in the architecture and the painted ceilings are just gorgeous! Definitely worth a visit! Even if you're not that into art and history.

Next up was Avenue des Champs-Élysées. Shopping time!! On our way there we first relaxed a little bit at the Seine. The view was just idyllic. The sun was out and the idea of relaxing at the Seine in Paris with your lover beside you is just SO romantic in my opinion!

When we Arrived at the Champs-Élysées we decided to first shop on the Right side of the Avenue, then go visit the Arc the Triomphe which is located at the end of the Champs-Élysées, and then go shop on the left side. So that's what we did. Also, if you're a brand lover the Champs-Élysées is THE place to be!

When we arrived at the end of the Avenue we wanted to go up the Arc the Triomphe. It's located at Place Charles de Gaulle, one of the biggest and busiest roundabouts in Paris where 12 big Avenues come together. You have to go through a tunnel to get to the Arc. DO NOT try to cross the roundabout!! It's extremely dangerous, which is why they made that tunnel so you can get there safely. Once you've arrived at the top of the Arc, which is about 50 meters high, you can see the whole city! The Eifel tower, the Sacré Coeur, centre Pompidou, literally every landmark you can possibly think of! LOVED IT!

When we came back down it was time to shop at the other side of the Champs-Élysées. We walked past Ladurée, a famous french bakery which is most known for their delicious macarons. We just HAD to order something! I mean, going to Paris and not visiting or ordering something at Ladurée is just not done haha. I went for 'la coupe Ispahan' wich consists out of a Raspberry sorbet, rose petal ice cream, fresh raspberry, lychees, raspberry coulis and Chantilly cream. The rose petal flavor was definitely something I've never tasted before! It really tasted like roses, even though I never ate a rose before so how would I know how a rose tastes haha. It's really hard to explain but you get the point. Thomas chose 'la coupe Malesherbes' which is a mix of Chocolate sorbet, caramel ice cream, caramelized hazelnuts and Chantilly cream. The chocolate sorbet tasted like real heavy dark chocolate! Definitely not your typical chocolate ice cream!

After a little more shopping we headed back to the hotel to chance outfits. We planned on going on a boat tour at the Seine, but since I was wearing a dress that day I decided to put on something more evening appropriate since it might be a little colder on the boat. We took the metro to the Eiffel tower as this was the point of departure. It was truly magical!! We went at night so all the famous landmarks were beautifully illuminated wich made it even more romantic! Definitely something you should do when in Paris!! I was not disappointed! If you're interested, we went with the company Bateaux Parisiens. You can buy tickets online by clicking Here.

After the tour we were soooo hungry since we didn't have diner yet. It was already past 12 PM so all the restaurants were closed. But we remembered there was a Mcdonalds right next to our hotel and it was open till 1 AM. We literally rushed to a metro station since it was a 20-30 minute trip to our hotel! We arrived just in time and were the very last customers haha! We took our Mcdo order to our hotel and had a late night Diner by the Tv.
