I LOVE dresses! You immediately have an entire outfit and they make me feel so girly! I'd like to show you guys the dress I wore on mothers day. This army style dress I bought at Two store is by the Italian brand Relish. It's made out of 100% polyester so it's very airy and perfect for those warm summer days!
The dress has an A-line silhouette which means it flares out from either the shoulders, chest or waist. When Yves Saint Laurent launched a collection of A-line dresses for Dior in the 50's, they immediately became a great success. After all those corsets women were happy to finally be able to wear something less tight.
The A-line silhouette is perfect for every body shape! The dress I'm wearing in this post will give you a more hourglass-like figure because it's tighter around the waist, but will also conceal a belly because the bottom part has some 'wrinkles' going on. It will also make your hips look smaller because the upper part is a bit looser so your luscious hips will be balanced out.
I personally really like the sleeves. I sometimes feel a bit insecure about my upper arms because they are so thin. So if I wear something short sleeved I often combine it with a jacket or sweater to make my arms look less skinny. With this dress, I don't feel like I should because of the three-quarter sleeves!
The dress is by the lack of print very classy, but the use of the pouches and the open back makes it more casual and playful. I adore those pouches! They really give the dress that vintage army feel! When I wear this dress I feel like I'm in the 50's haha! I love it!
