Carli Bybel Palette review

If you are familiar with Youtube and beauty, you will probably have heard from Carli Bybel, one of the most famous youtubers in the world. She started making videos 4-5 years ago and now has more than 4.1 million followers! She creates the most beautiful makeup looks, hairstyles, outfits,… with a lot of diversity. Also, she has a blog called The beauty bybel where she shows us different outfits, moments from her day to day life, extra information to go with her videos and a few lifestyle tips. I would say it is definitely worth checking out!

She collaborated with BH cosmetics to create and design her first and very own eyeshadow and highlighter palette. She chose to use a collection of earthy neutrals and plummy brown shadows with four face highlighters that complement every skin tone in her opinion. The mix of mattes and shimmers makes it very easy to go from daytime to evening looks. The highlighters can be used for both face and eyes. The palette is paraben free, allergy tested, non-irritating, vegan, clinically tested and cruelty free. We are off to a good start!

Let’s talk about the packaging first. She wanted to make the palette look somewhat like her beauty room. In other words, chic, white and with a “cushion” design enhanced with pearls. Another cute little detail is typically Carli. I am talking about the little penguin printed on the backside. How cute is that?! If you know Carli you will understand where that penguin comes from. On the inside you will find a fairly large mirror and her signature quote Aspire to inspire. She also added a cute little note where she thanks all her followers and states that if your palette arrives damaged you will get a new one right away.

The eyeshadows themselves are incredibly pigmented, especially the glittery ones! They all have a buttery smooth feel to them and they blend very nicely. Same goes for the highlighters. There is one for every skin tone. The highlighters that don’t match your skin can be used as an eyeshadow. So no wasted products here! Also, you might think that some highlighters are the same color as some of the eyeshadows, but when you swatch them you will definitely see a difference! Believe me!
